Onwards to American River. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the local fur seals that love to lounge around the wharf as we head to the iconic Oyster Farm Shop. Kangaroo Island Oysters are shucked right there at the shop, freshly harvested, with a burst of salty goodness you’ll love.

Lastly, take a stop over and see some stunning views at the Penneshaw lookout along with Pelican Lagoon for a few photo-ops and the chance to spot some lazy kangaroos in nearby paddocks.

Lunch Like A Local
Welcome to Kingscote, Kangaroo Island’s largest city and the first European settlement in South Australia. Enjoy free time to browse local wares and stop off for lunch (at own cost). Our guides are happy to provide recommendations on all the best eateries to visit.

Honey Tasting At Island Beehive
Observe a functioning beehive and enjoy tastings of some of the famous Ligurian Bee Honey that the island is known for. Don’t forget to take a moment to browse the local wares available and we always recommend picking up a tub of honey icecream to try.

Fresh Out Of The Sea Oyster Farm Stop
The Oyster Farm Shop provides the farm gate to Kangaroo Islands famous Oyster Farm. Browse through their wares (it’s not just oysters on offer!) and enjoy a tasting of a freshly shucked oyster!

Sights of Kangaroo Island
You’ll pass through many interesting areas of Kangaroo Island including Reeves Point, sight of South Australia’s first settlement, Pelican Lagoon, Penneshaw Lookout, American River, as well as gorgeous Australian bushland. Many a photo-op to be achieved and don’t forget to keep an eye for kangaroos!

  • Your driver will also function as a tour guide, providing information on sights seen and local knowledge.
  • Animal sighting in the wild are likely but cannot be guaranteed.
  • Photo opportunities will be offered at various locations.
  • Pickup and Drop off are at the carpark at Penneshaw Jetty, Kangaroo Island.
  • Air-conditioned motorcoach provided.
  • Order of sights visited may vary on the day.
  • Please wear comfortable flat-sled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat, a jacket if required, sunscreen and bring bottled water.
